The seats that I wish to purchase online are available but for some reason the system won’t let me book them?

This is most likely because you are leaving a single seat available in one of the rows.

In the interests of other customers, producers and artists we are committed to ensuring that our performances are as fully attended as possible. Occasionally potential occupancy is compromised if we are left with unsold single seats and we need to manage the supply of tickets. In the majority of cases this does not hinder your ability to purchase tickets.

There will be instances when the online process will fail, for example when customers are told they cannot buy two tickets because it will leave a single seat. We regret the inconvenience that this may cause and recommend that any customers unable to find suitable seats contact the Box Office to fulfil their booking.

What should I do if I have not received an email confirmation or Print At Home ticket attachment?

There are several possible reasons that you may not have received an email.

Please check you spam or junk mail folder.

If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours or there is no pdf file attached please contact the Box Office team on 01664 851111. We recommend that you are able to access your emails during the call as we may ask you to confirm that the email has been received.

What should my Print At Home tickets look like and do I need to print them?

All Print At Home tickets will arrive as a pdf file attached to an email.

These tickets will need to be printed and brought with you to gain access to the auditorium. Unfortunately, electronic versions cannot be accepted.

Can I book a wheelchair space online?

Is there disabled parking available nearby?

We have a limited number of on-site spaces for blue badge holders and similar qualifying patrons. Alternatively, there are blue badge spaces available in the Wilton Road public car park at the rear of the theatre.

I don’t need to park I’m just dropping people off, where should I do this?

We recommend dropping customers off in our on site car park accessed from Asfordby Road.

Can I bring food and drink in to the performance?

Melton Theatre bar sells a selection of drinks, in order to enter the auditorium these must be in a plastic glass or  plastic bottle. If there are any restriction for a particular show, customers will be notified by signage on the doors prior to taking your seat. Unfortunately, hot food or noisy snacks are not permitted at any time in order to ensure that you do not disturb the performance or other customers.

What happens if I’m late for the start of the performance?

While we do not want you to miss any of the performance there maybe restrictions on when or if you can enter a performance once the lights have gone down.

Allowing customers to enter during the performance is not only disruptive for the performers as the light and sound of the foyer areas spills into the space, but finding and accessing your seat can be very disruptive for other customers and potentially hazardous for you.

Where possible, we try to find alternative seating until an interval, or if there is not an appropriate moment, you may need to remain in the foyer.  We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before the performance start time to ensure you have a comfortable journey through the venue.

Can my child sit on my lap?

Tickets are required for any person entering the auditorium over the age of 24 months. This is so that we as a venue can meet our fire regulations, so we politely request that children aged 2+ take their seat as booked. We are unable to offer booster seats due to the nature of our seating.

Can I take a pushchair into a performance?

Pushchairs can be stored at our Box Office prior to the performance and any belongings are left entirely at the owners risk. We are unable to permit pushchairs in to the auditorium due to safety regulations so please allow enough time prior to the performance for storage of the pushchair.
